    El pensamiento genuino sólo descubre sus principios al fin.

  2. This aphorism contains a pun that is clearer in Spanish than in the English translation. The Spanish word principios, translated here as "principles" also literally means "beginnings," and not necessarily just the beginning of a thought, as "principle" means in English.
